The ChallEnge
FirmTech had created a truly unique product. The problem was that it was such a new idea it lacked believability. Their website and general online presence did nothing to instil confidence that it was even a legitimate product, and not some sort of wild prank. So the challenge was to hone in on their target audience's barriers to business, study the best examples of wearable technology from other wellness tech brands – then craft user-centric stories throughout a rich, informative and captivating website that would connect with their tech savvy masculine audience. This involved an overhaul of their visual identity, their user experience and the crafting of a beautiful Shopify website.

The Solution
I conducted thorough interviews with the founders of the company and reached out to existing customers of FirmTech to see what the deciding factors were for them buying. I read reviews and articles where FirmTech had been mentioned and read widely around the subject of erectile dysfunction. This led to a focused list of customer problems, negative brand perceptions and positive purchase triggers. Using a story-based methodology I wrote a series of narratives that would take specific users through the purchasing journey on the website. The brand needed to be bold and high contrast for the older users, and have vibrant accessible nuggets of information – while continuously showing the transformation buyers could expect.

The Result
The branding work aligned stakeholder visions, and helped secure a large seed round investment. The investment will fund the development of the service-based energy efficiency diagnostic app, which is due to be released in Q4 of 2023.
You really did a fantastic job Eddie. Last month we had our best month ever, and I feel that a lot of that is due to the website. The website is looking so professional that people... well… it has validity! People come to it and they trust it. We're even starting to sell wholesale.
